Lest We Forget

On this Remembrance Day,

it is essential that we stop and remember

those who fought courageously

and gave their lives

for our freedom.

We must honour our fallen

heroes for their service, their commitment,

their courage, and the extraordinary

sacrifices they made.
 

 They fought tyranny and oppression, stopped

dictators and despots, eased suffering, and despair

and left us a cherished gift: 

FREEDOM

But as we have experienced in the last three years

freedom is fragile and it cannot be taken for granted.

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.

We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.

It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”

As we remember all who gave their lives in the

noble pursuit of liberty, the eternal light of our

nation’s gratitude shines on.

In return we have a duty to

keep the flame of freedom burning

like a mighty inferno.
