Rejoice! He is Risen Indeed
“Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them,
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!
Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying,
‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,
and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ” (Luke 24:5-7)
On Good Friday, we remember the Cross where Jesus was sacrificed to cover our sins. On Resurrection Sunday we celebrate the fact that He rose from the dead to sit at the right-hand side of God the Father, defeating death for the sake of everyone who believes in Him.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
As you celebrate may you remember God’s perfect love for all mankind, and may that love fill you with hope for the days to come.
