Rejoice! He is Risen Indeed

“Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them,
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!
Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying,
‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men,
and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ” (Luke 24:5-7)

As Jesus was ministering to the crowds throughout his years of ministry, He began to teach his disciples that:

“…the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of the law. They will sentence him to die and hand him over to the Romans. They will mock him, spit on him, flog him with a whip, and kill him, but after three days he will rise again.”

This fulfilled dozens of Old Testament prophecies, and gives us assurance of eternal life, and His promise of His return someday soon, for those who have asked Jesus to be Lord and Saviour of their life.

As we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is impossible to emphasize too strongly the importance of remembering the true meaning of the miracle of Jesus rising from the dead on the third day. Jesus died on the cross to take away the sins of the world. John 3:16
