If so, Action4Canada is here to help. We are inviting you to a 5 week Parenting Webinar Series that will take place every Tuesday from October 1 – 29th at 5pm PST/8pm EST. The series was developed by Family Life Canada (FLC) who have been bringing help and hope to marriages and families for over 30 years. Action4Canada will begin by hosting the 5 sessions (of the current 17) listed below. We will also be hosting further sessions in the new year.
These sessions will help parents who are struggling, have deep frustrations and some big, unanswered questions. We want to help you find not just any answers, but those that are grounded in biblical wisdom. Action4Canada feels honoured to come alongside you and help in this wonderful journey called “parenting”, so be sure to register today and please share this information with other parents.

Session 1: Why is understanding the 5 essential stages of parenting a game changer for parenting my elementary-aged child?

Workshop Description: There are countless resources on child development, but knowing how that should impact our everyday parenting decisions can be a little overwhelming. So let’s talk about the five stages of parenting to get the bigger picture of our roles and goals in raising our children to be lifelong interdependent followers of Jesus. We’ll focus especially on parenting our elementary-aged kids.
Session 2: How can understanding the 5 stages of parenting be a game changer for me and my teenager?

Workshop Description: Every child is currently in a particular stage of development. Together, we will walk through the five stages and look at how they impact your potential goals and roles as a parent. We will then spend the bulk of our time focusing on the often dreaded, but oh so critical, teenage years. Let’s go!
Session 3: What is the most dangerous lie our teens are believing about sexuality and gender?
Presenter: Dr. Christopher Yuan – Speaker, Author, Bible Professor and Creator of The Holy Sexuality Project.
Workshop Description: One of the most destructive lies our teens are being taught today is how sexuality has become the core of our being. “Being gay” means “This is who I am.” But what does the Bible communicate about who we are? In this talk, Dr. Christopher Yuan unpacks the correct understanding of personhood through the lens of Scripture, as well as the consequences of an incorrect understanding of who we are.
Session 4: How can I set my kids up for success by having them learn from mistakes?
Presented by Larry Kerby — Parenting & Life Coach & Speaker with Love & Logic
The “Love and Logic” approach to parenting holds that children learn the best lessons when they’re given a task and allowed to make their own choices (and fail) when the cost of failure is still small. In this talk, Larry Kerby shares practical ways to apply this approach immediately to a wide range of parenting situations, coupled with love and empathy.
Session 5: How can I help my child follow Jesus for a lifetime?
Workshop Description: Do you ever wonder if your child will follow Jesus as an adult? Seeing our kids choose to follow Jesus for themselves is one of our deepest desires as Christian parents. In this workshop, you’ll learn practical ideas and new tools to pass on a life-long love for Jesus in accessible ways.
