Reverend Majed El Shafie, President and Founder of One Free World International (OFWI), joins Tanya Gaw to discuss the critical importance of the West supporting the people of Israel and taking a united stand against Islamic extremism. As Majed says, “What they do to the people of Israel today, they will do to us tomorrow”.

Rev. El Shafie travelled to Israel on a fact-finding mission to learn the truth about the unprecedented, vicious, and barbaric attack by Hamas on Israeli civilian communities near the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023. He and the OFWI team are working on a new documentary,(Trailer) “Anatomy of an Attack: The October 7th Massacre” that will provide the facts of the Hamas attack and the pursuit of justice.

UPDATE: At  a news conference held on November 28th at the Consulate General of Israel in Toronto, OFWI released its independent findings of the attack on Israel on Oct. 7th in its new report entitled “Anatomy of an Attack: The Truth Behind October 7th”.  Read HERE.

In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, it explains how God chose Abraham to make the great nation of Israel (Genesis 18:18) and that the Israelites are God’s chosen people because they represent God’s faithfulness to Abraham and that God keeps His word. Through Israel (Abraham) God was setting up the lineage through which Jesus would come. God said to Abraham that his “descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore” (Genesis 22:17:18).

So you see, Israel doesn’t belong to the Islamists and the Israeli’s are not committing apartheid, and they are not occupiers or settlers. This is the land that God gave to the Israelites and they have a right to exist and a right to defend themselves and their country.

Are you aware that since Mohammed created Islam there have been ongoing battles to destroy God’s chosen nation and people? Israel is a tiny nation that is surrounded on all sides by Islamists countries. These countries once belonged to Christians but they were brutally taken by the Islamists. The Middle East was 95% Christian and it is now less than 6%. Do you happen to hear the UN or EU demanding they give the land back? That would be because a third of the UN seats are held by Islamists.

Islam is described as the fastest growing false religion in the world today and Western nations are finally waking up and understanding the real and present danger that Islam poses to the very existence of Western civilization. It is therefore critical that everyone understand how important it is for Israel to win this war against Hamas because if they don’t, it will send a message to Jihadists around the world that they may be victorious in taking down the rest of us.

Majed El Shafie is a human rights advocate and founder of One Free World International (OFWI). His human rights journey started in his native Egypt that he was later forced to flee after he was severely tortured and sentenced to death for his conversion from Islam to Christianity and bringing awareness to human rights violations related to religious persecution.

Belonging to a very prominent legal and political family in Egypt, Majed had tried to work within the Egyptian system to reform the country’s human rights regime. Between the challenges he faced in these efforts, his firsthand experience as a survivor of religious persecution, the work he has engaged in since by advocating for religious freedom, confronting governments that violate this fundamental right, and conducting fact-finding missions and humanitarian/rescue operations, he has obtained significant knowledge and insight into the dynamics of persecution of religious minorities by religious extremists and totalitarian governments alike.

Majed has established two effective human rights organizations including One Free World International, which is one of the leading organizations advocating for religious minorities globally and has 28 branches around the world. He has organized and led delegations of parliamentarians and religious leaders to address minority rights and humanitarian issues with government leaders, including several cabinet ministers and other high-level officials, opposition leaders, and religious leaders among others, in countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Cuba, India, and Bangladesh.

El Shafie has developed excellent relationships with members of the Canadian House of Commons, Senate, and Cabinet, and has built bridges with the US Congress in order to educate decision-makers about violations of religious freedom around the world. He has had the opportunity to testify numerous times before parliamentary bodies including the Subcommittee for International Human Rights, the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration, United States Congressional subcommittees and commissions, and the Parliamentary Inquiry into Antisemitism in Canada. He has advocated on behalf of Christians, Falun Gong, Jews, Bahá’í’s, Ahmadiyya Muslims, and China’s Uyghur Muslims, among others. Leading North American and international news media have featured his work which has also been the subject of an award-winning feature-length documentary.

Book: Freedom Fighter. The book is an account of Reverend El Shafie’s outreach—it follows his heroic work over a four-year period as he traveled to Pakistan and Afghanistan to investigate claims of abuse, persecution, and slavery and to speak truth to governments that neglect and violate the human rights of their citizens.
