On the next Empower Hour Professor David Millard Haskell joins Tanya to discuss the damage Critical Race Theory and “Anti-Racism Education” is doing in our public education system. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is an ideology rooted in Marxist notions and teaches that Whites are perpetual oppressors and people of colour are perpetual victims. “Anti-racism Education” takes the ideas of CRT and packages them into classroom curriculum and diversity training instruction.
CRT is part of a dangerous and harmful Marxist agenda intended to destroy the foundation of our nation which is built on Judeo-Christian principles.
A professor at Wilfrid Laurier University, for years David’s research has examined cultural trends. In particular, he’s studied the tensions between conservatives and the country’s cultural elites. In the last few years, he has used his skills as a researcher to debunk numerous false claims being made by today’s progressives. Related to Critical Race Theory and “Anti-Racism Education,” he shows that it leads to more racism, not less.
Outside his job at the university, David leads a parents’ rights in education group in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region, is an active member of the Society for Academic Freedom & Scholarship, and serves as an advisor to various conservative think-tanks.

Bio David Haskell, PhD, MA, BEd, BA
Operating primarily within the field of Sociology of Religion but with occasional forays into Communication Studies, Dr. Haskell’s teaching and research focuses on religion in Canada, media in Canada, and religion and media in Canada.
Before academia, Dr. Haskell was a journalist. He started as a print features writer and later moved to TV working as a reporter in London, Windsor, and Waterloo Region. He has received awards from TV Ontario and the Radio Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) for his news reporting. Just prior to joining the faculty at Laurier’s Brantford campus in 2005, he spent four years as a professor of Journalism at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario. He has also enjoyed careers as a high school teacher, professional musician and motivational speaker.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is an existential threat to our freedom and democracy as its ultimate goal is to eliminate the white race. CRT is being pushed in academia and throughout society and is a sinister agenda intended to twist and distort facts and reality in order to divide and conquer.
