RE: the defamation case filed by Tyson Cook, aka drag queen Frieda Whales, back in December 2024.
On May 6, 2025 Tyson Cook filed a further action, an application for an interlocutory injunction, that demanded Action4Canada be forced to remove all information regarding him from our website. Cook claims that the information is false, misleading and harming his reputation – however, the information in question was acquired directly from his YouTube channel and social media platforms. He also submitted an affidavit, which consisted of false and misleading information and claims. One such claim was that Action4Canada posted a collage of drag queens and pride parades that contained an image of him…when in fact the person in the image is American drag queen Lil Miss Hot Mess.
In contrast, Tanya Gaw’s affidavit (including exhibits) and the application response, filed on behalf of Action4Canada on May 14, 2025 in response to Tyson Cook’s injunction application, contains an abundance of evidence to support Action4Canada’s concerns regarding Mr Cook, and we stand behind the reasonable request to have him reassessed for his suitability to be working with children.
After Mr. Cook received our application response and Tanya Gaw’s affidavit, Mr. Cook’s counsel asked our lawyer if we would consent to their application for an injunction being adjourned generally and accordingly their injunction has been adjourned without a new date having been set. However, Mr. Cook’s lawsuit is still going ahead, and the next step in the litigation is to exchange lists of documents and prepare for and attend examination for discoveries.
