Public schools, at all levels of education, currently pose a serious threat to our children due to the globalist’s agenda to use them as Agents of Change. As a result there is a growing national movement wherein parents are pulling their children out of public and private schools and opting to homeschool.
More and more Canadians are seeing the value in good old fashioned, traditional learning built on a biblical Christian worldview and passing these values on to our children. Children are the future and what goes in is what comes out!

CCEM – Canadian Christian Education Movement
In 2022, leaders of several Christian organizations came together to positively impact the educational context in Canada for children ages 3 to 18. Their goal is to see a resurgence of the Canadian church embracing, supporting, or housing a wide range of educational initiatives and resources that would serve their local families and communities with Christ-centered, quality education.
CCEM’s desire is to work with churches to support various forms of education which include daycares, Christian schools, home schooling, co-op Learning Centers, Distance Education and Language Learning. They also offer networking services, town halls, referral services, survey services, an initial consultation, and school legal support (by province). www.cemovement.ca
Parents across Canada are turning to homeschooling because traditional schools are leaving students unprepared for the real world and causing measurable harm to their development.
According to the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) based on OECD’s PISA 2022 data, only 78% of Canadian 15-year-olds met the baseline proficiency level in mathematics, meaning 22% did not meet the minimum standard required for full participation in modern society. In reading, 82% achieved baseline proficiency. These numbers also reflect a troubling downward trend over the last several PISA assessments.
The Province of Ontario gets a failing grade in education instruction and is an example of what happens when you replace academics with woke ideologies. The percentage of Grade 3 students unable to meet basic reading expectations rose to 29% in 2024, up from 27% in 2023.
By contrast, homeschooled students consistently perform much higher. Research from the National Home Education Research Institute (NHERI) shows homeschoolers score 15 to 25 percentile points higher than public-school students on standardized achievement tests. One study reported homeschoolers scoring an average 1190 on the SAT compared to 1060 for public school students. At the university level, homeschool graduates often outperform their peers, with some studies showing a 10% higher GPA and a 50% higher college completion rate.
Homeschooling isn’t just an alternative, it’s a proven path to academic excellence, strong values, and independent, critical thinking free from ideological indoctrination.
Action4Canada: Giving Youth a Voice
Genevieve gives us a thoughtful perspective of the pros and cons of homeschooling. “The good, the bad, and the blessing of learning at home.”
Homeschooling is a serious commitment, but is much less complicated than some may think. When we consider the alternative of public education it is definitely worth any sacrifices that need to be made.
The mental health, and well-being of children are at stake.
