MAJOR VICTORY IN ALBERTA—YOUR VOICE MADE THIS HAPPEN
Action4Canada is proud to announce a significant and hard-fought victory. The SOGI resource, pornographic/sexually explicit books and non-government flags are being removed from Alberta schools and public libraries!
After years of persistent advocacy, the Alberta government has heard your concerns—and real change is now taking place. With the passage of Bill 25 and Bill 28 under Premier Danielle Smith’s leadership, meaningful steps are being taken to protect children and restore integrity in education.
This did not happen by accident. It happened because you showed up—writing letters, making calls, sharing information, and refusing to back down. Every Call to Action you participated in helped bring us to this moment.
And today, we are seeing the results:
- Ideological programs and resources such as SOGI 123 and PRISM Toolkit are being removed
- The influence of CRT, DEI, and political activism in classrooms is being shut down
- Safeguards are being strengthened to protect children from inappropriate content
- Teachers can refocus on what matters most: reading, writing, arithmetic, and academic excellence
This is a win for children! This is a win for parents! This is a win for society at large!
NOW IS THE TIME TO SAY THANK YOU
When government leaders take decisive action, they need to hear from those who support it—not just those who push back. There will be organized backlash to these changes. The critics will be loud, persistent, and highly visible. We cannot allow their voices to dominate the narrative.
Now is the time to speak up. Let’s send a clear message to show there is strong, widespread support for these actions. Take a moment today to thank Premier Danielle Smith, Minister Nicolaides, and Minister Williams for listening to citizens and taking meaningful action to protect our children.
Call to Action:
1) Copy and paste the letter below (or draft your own) and send it to Premier Danielle Smith, Minister Nicolaides and Minister Williams. How to Copy and Paste.
2) Share this campaign widely—email, text, and social media

Dear Premier Smith, Minister Nicolaides, and Minister Williams,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the passage of Bill 25 (An Act to Remove Politics and Ideology from Classrooms and Amend the Education Act, 2026) and Bill 28 (The Municipal Affairs and Housing Statutes Amendment Act).
I am especially encouraged by Bill 25 and its clear intent to restore political neutrality and remove ideological influence from Alberta classrooms. Education must be grounded in academic integrity—not activism—and your willingness to act reflects what many Canadians have been calling for.
The removal of ideological resources such as SOGI 123 and PRISM Toolkit is a significant and meaningful win for students, parents, and families. It signals a return to an education system that prioritizes learning over advocacy. I commend your government for recognizing the innocence of minors and the God-given rights of parents to shape the values their children receive.
Bill 28 further strengthens this effort by closing a critical gap. Public libraries operating within school settings were not previously required to comply with the 2025 decision to remove sexually explicit material accessible to minors—an obvious and unacceptable loophole that raised serious concerns among Albertans. Your decision to close this gap demonstrates a willingness to listen and act decisively. Applying consistent standards across schools and publicly accessible libraries is a necessary and responsible step in protecting children.
As Minister Williams stated:
“This kind of material can be very damaging to young children that see it as a cartoon. This is adult content. There is a mass of social science data that shows access to explicitly sexual pornographic material for children at early ages can have incredibly detrimental effects on their development and behaviour. This is a responsible path forward. This is what Albertans, families, and parents expect.”
Together, these actions demonstrate a clear commitment to protecting children, restoring balance in education, and respecting the fundamental role of parents in guiding their children’s development and values.
Thank you for taking these important steps. I encourage you to continue moving forward with clarity, integrity, and resolve.
Sincerely,
