 February 12, 2025: Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada (PPC), joined Tanya Gaw on this Empower Hour to unpack some of the Breaking News headlines that are rocking the world. We live in crazy and exciting times. Canadians are waking up and are flabbergasted at the level of corruption that is being exposed. We have obstacles ahead of us as we approach the next election but the current tsunami of changes in the US may be a very good indication that we are nearing a turning point in Canada as well.

Maxime Bernier is becoming known as the populist leader whose voice has been rising and gaining popularity since 2018 when he launched the PPC party. Maxime’s no nonsense platform is keeping the Conservative party on their toes and influencing the direction of the political conversation.

Simultaneously, Action4Canada has been working toward the same goal: to protect our freedom and democracy. A4C has been ahead of the crowd when it comes to speaking on issues that have, for far too long, been considered taboo. Canadians have been subject to a military-style, psychological warfare as part of a diabolical Global strategy to silence dissenting voices against the global unelected cabal who are seeking world domination.

Canada, Trump and the Matter of National Security

Why did Trump threaten to impose tariffs? Does he have legitimate concerns about Canada being a hotbed for terrorism and colluding with the Chinese Communist Party to take down the West?   • “Veteran law enforcement officials…from the United States and Canada have come forward with explosive allegations suggesting that Canada’s federal government may have systematically obstructed investigations into the highest levels of Asian organized crime. According to these sources, American agencies…have grown so alarmed by suspected corruption and legal loopholes in Canada that they have effectively sidelined Canadian law enforcement from sensitive investigations and intelligence-sharing.”
  • …Canada is increasingly perceived as compromised—either incapable or unwilling to confront entrenched transnational criminal networks… a nation whose law enforcement agencies are in disarray, inhibited by suspected infiltration at the highest levels, obstructing investigations into billion-dollar drug networks and money laundering operations.
  • “..Homeland Security, they have no respect for CBSA, none,”…“CBSA were seen as tax collectors for picking on families coming across the border with two bottles of wine and not actually doing police seizures of proper amounts of drugs coming through the border.”
  • “…concerns extend beyond Canada’s ability to confront transnational crime—to the country’s political leadership itself. According to two RCMP experts, quiet surveillance operations have raised alarms after placing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and a former cabinet minister in proximity to Asian organized crime suspects.”
  • “According to multiple enforcement veterans, American agencies began withholding intelligence more than ten years ago after repeated incidents in which top‐secret files were jeopardized or blocked by Canadian legal demands.“
  • “The level of stuff the Americans were willing to work with us on was incredible, but we were so hamstrung by Canadian disclosure laws and RCMP policies—written to protect the RCMP from potential embarrassments rather than to protect Canadians from actual dangers.”
  • “…the Americans—the intel these guys were giving us on money laundering associated to BC government casinos and the E-Pirate investigations—the Americans were more than willing to take this on, but it’s in Canada…We had information on some of those people operating across Western Canada—these huge cells of Asian organized crime—and investigations would stall due to delays with approvals or shifting priorities, dictated ultimately by Ottawa.”

  • “The leaked audit shows from 2022 to 2024, a staggering 22,418,000 doses of opioids were prescribed by doctors and pharmacists to approximately 5,000 clients in BC, including fentanyl patches.”
  • “A significant portion of the opioids being freely prescribed by doctors and pharmacists are not being consumed by their intended recipients,”
  • It suggests that financial incentives have created a business model for organized crime, asserting that “prescribed alternatives (safe supply opioids) are trafficked provincially, nationally, and internationally,” and that “proceeds of fraud” are being used to pay incentives to doctors, pharmacists, and intermediaries.
  • MLA Elenore Sturko, a former RCMP officer…asserts that the program is a failure in public policy and insists that Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry be dismissed for having “denied and downplayed” problems as they emerged.
