Costco Canada has quietly switched nearly its entire meat supply to Halal without member’s consent or notice. Halal slaughter requires the animal to remain fully conscious while its throat is slit in the name of Allah and it is left to bleed out until dead. Every air-chill slaughterhouse in Canada is now halal which means unless you are buying from a local supplier you are consuming halal meat. According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), grocery stores are not obligated to label it.

What can you do? Sign the Petition, Boycott Costco and Cancel your Membership. We are the majority and we need to send Costco, and every other food supplier and grocery chain, a loud and clear message that we will not allow muslims (5% of the population) to dominate the food industry with their barbaric foreign ideologies.

This issue is not really about food. It is an incremental step in stealth jihad. The plan as the Muslim Brotherhood put it, “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house…”

Islam is a threat to Canada’s sovereignty and an attack against our Judeo-Christian heritage. Its modus operandi is to enter non-Muslim nations and rather than embrace the host country’s values—it pushes its own. Muslims make demands and requests for accommodations, in reality Sharia law is being implemented right under our noses. Halal is based on Islamic Sharia law which is incompatible with western Christian nations. Muslim leaders have openly described Halal as a means “to conquer the world through the Halal movement”. It is also reportedly used to fund terrorism. Europe and the UK are the proof of what happens when a country fails to say no to these accommodations at the start.

Canadians are the majority, and our buying power will be used to set this matter straight and Costco should use its buying power to restore conventional pre-stunned meat as the standard.

Dear Mr. Dorico and Mr. Campbell,

Costco Canada’s decision to convert its entire meat supply to halal without member notice or consent is unacceptable and must be reversed immediately.

Halal slaughter requires the animal to remain fully conscious while its throat is slit, and a muslim is required to invoke a blessing in the name of Allah. The animal is left to bleed out through convulsions until dead-a process that can take up to four minutes. Costco management claims that its suppliers adhere to Canadian standards. However, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) explicitly permits a regulatory exception allowing ritual slaughter. The existence of this exception validates our concern that CFIA oversight alone does not guarantee pre-slaughter stunning. Multiple European countries, including Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland, Slovenia, Sweden, and others, have banned this practice on animal-welfare grounds. Costco has chosen to adopt it as the default for nearly every package of meat it sells.

Halal is not a neutral food preference. It is a formal requirement of Islam, a political/military system whose stated objective is the establishment of a global caliphate. This involves incremental demands for Sharia-compliant standards based on the Quran. Halal certification demands exclusive Muslim oversight, extracts fees from unaware non-Muslim consumers, and has been openly described by Islamic leaders as a means “to conquer the world through the Halal movement.” It is also reportedly funds terrorism. Muslim organizations operating in Canada with links to the Muslim Brotherhood have been investigated for using Halal certification agencies for this purpose. Halal certification is a multi-billion-dollar global structure. By making Halal the exclusive standard for its meat products, Costco is facilitating this system into the Canadian food supply.

Members did not agree to this. They are now discovering that the meat they have long purchased is being produced under a barbaric ideology incompatible with Canadian values and animal-welfare standards. No foreign political ideology may be imposed on the public through the marketplace. The result has been widespread outrage and a growing wave of membership cancellations.

Costco insists it has no choice because all meat manufacturing plants in Canada are now halal and overseen by the CFIA. In reality, Costco could use its buying power to restore a non-halal industry standard by dealing exclusively with non-halal businesses. Muslims make up only 5% of the population. Canadians are the majority, and our buying power will be used to set this matter straight.

There is no place for this system in Canada. Costco has an opportunity to lead by example, setting a standard for other food suppliers and grocery chains to follow.

We therefore demand that Costco Canada:

• Immediately cease all halal meat sales and remove every halal-certified product from its Canadian warehouses.
• Use Costco’s buying power to return the industry standard to non-halal.

Should Costco refuse to act, it risks losing many more members. We therefore urge you to address these concerns immediately.
