The next battle is taking place in the Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) and we need your help.

RE: Flying only the Canadian, Ontario or WCDSB flags and providing Catholic education based on enduring Biblical principles

The LGBTQ woke activists, with the support of the Marxist Unions, are rallying their troops to attend the next WCDSB meeting on April 14th 2025. At this meeting a new chair and vice chair will be elected and so it is important that as many people as possible attend and fill the room. On April 28th there will be a second meeting to vote on whether or not the pride flag, and other flags and symbols, will be prohibited. Read the leaked email from the Waterloo Catholic Teacher’s Union to see how they are aggressively organizing to attack sacred Christian institutions.

The radical LGBTQ activists are once again falsely using the Human Rights Code as a weapon to bully people into submission, with an extra dose of self-victimization. They have no respect for the Charter Rights of others or the fact that the majority of the population do not support the education system being used to sexualize, indoctrinate and confuse children. Therefore it is imperative that you help by taking action today.

Dear Members of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB),

RE: Flying only the Canadian, Ontario or WCDSB flags and providing Catholic education based on enduring Biblical principles

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the WCDSB:

  • only fly the Canadian, provincial/territorial and WCDSB logo flags;
  • discontinue promoting any political/ideological practices or ceremonies on WCDSB property;
  • remove all pride symbols, posters, LGBTQ and other political/ideological displays; and
  • ensure that Catholic values and teachings remain central to the students’ education.

By endorsing and promoting political/ideological views that are in opposition to the Christian doctrine, you are violating the Board’s obligation to uphold the Catholic faith and the Christian Biblical principles that guide Catholic education and the mission of the Church, and in direct opposition to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Toronto.

The Bible teaches that pride, one of the seven deadly sins, is opposed by God. Rather than leading children in the way of purity and Christian virtue, the WCDSB is allowing a symbol associated with a specific political ideology to overshadow core Catholic teachings on marriage and sexuality; thereby, sowing confusion and deviating from Biblical morality.

We affirm the dignity of all individuals. However, Catholic schools must remain focused on nurturing an environment that reflects traditional Christian values, which are protected under s 2(a) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Further, when you give preferential treatment to any one group you are in violation of s 15 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as well as this Supreme Court ruling which clearly states that when a body “adheres to a belief that is not shared equally it creates a hierarchy of beliefs and casts doubt on the value of those it does not share”. The Pride flag, a political symbol created by Gilbert Baker to promote LGBTQ+ rights, does not foster unity within the Christian community, or society at large, but instead causes division among families, students and staff.

The amendment to the Human Rights Code to include gender expression and gender identity, which are not immutable characteristics, created duelling rights that conflict with the Constitution which, according to s 52:1, states, “if any law is inconsistent with the Constitution…it is of no force or effect”. This ideological battle should not be waged in the school. Therefore, the board has a duty, first and foremost, to uphold the Constitution and secure parents’ expectations that their children’s education will be based on Christian religious beliefs.

As a WCDSB trustee, you have an opportunity to demonstrate true leadership by refusing to allow this deeply divisive and contentious political issue to distract you from your duty to provide Catholic education based on enduring Biblical principles.
