Your voices are working. After our first Call to Action, Defend Our Churches: Round Two (Stop Bill C-9), Bloc Leader Blanchet admitted that due to backlash they cancelled the committee meeting on December 4, 2025. That’s thanks to you. Your emails flooded in, exposed what they were trying to do, and forced them to retreat. But make no mistake: they have not yet backed down on their agenda.

This is evident when reviewing the email responses from Liberal/Bloc MPs who are claiming that Bill C-9 will not “criminalize religious texts or the portrayal, teaching, or endorsement of religious beliefs“. But this is an outright lie. The wording of Bill C-9 absolutely and explicitly removes critical safeguards and unlawfully opens the door to future criminalization of Biblical scripture through government and judicial interpretation, enforcement, and abuse.

Bill C-9 is not just a threat against Biblical teaching that addresses moral issues. The deeper threat of Bill C-9 stems from the rising threat of ‘Islamic’ hate speech and is being used as a tool to destroy our freedoms and democracy—stand up, speak out, and defend our Christian nation before it’s too late. Dear Prime Minister Mark Carney, Hon. Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General, the Justice Committee, Yves-François Blanchet, Leader of the Bloc Québécois and Member of Parliament,

RE: Scrap Bill C-9 – It Betrays Canada’s Christian Foundation and Violates Inalienable Rights

Canada is not a secular nation. Canada is a Christian Nation. We are a constitutional monarchy founded on Judeo-Christian principles, rooted in the Magna Carta (1215), affirmed in the Charter’s preamble (“Supremacy of God”), carved in Scripture throughout Parliament, and protected by a sworn Oath. Removing the good-faith religious defence (s.319(3)(b)) is an exercise in futility as it violates Canadian’s inalienable protected rights:

• Freedom of religion & conscience (s.2(a))
• Freedom of thought, belief, opinion & expression, including press (s.2(b))
• Freedom of peaceful assembly & association (s.2(c)(d))
• Equality rights (s.15) – by targeting Christian speech while bowing to outside pressure

Further, Bill C-9 is not just a threat against Biblical teaching that addresses moral issues, it also threatens our sovereignty. It claims to address rising hate being spewed in our streets. Yet instead of naming the chief source, Islam, and dealing with that threat head on, it legitimizes Islam as a religion at the expense of the religious defence that legitimately protects Biblical teaching. The fact is that Islam is not a religion (46:55) according to Islam’s own teaching, and therefore does not qualify for religious protection. Islam is a ‘foreign’ political/military/legal system whose core texts command the replacement of our laws with Islamic (Sharia) law, and the destruction of our Christian foundation.

The Council of Canadian Imams showed up at the Committee meeting on Dec 4th to voice their opposition to Bill C-9 arguing it could criminalize their sermons that might be misinterpreted as promoting hate. I reiterate that Islam is a ‘foreign’ political ideology bent on conquest. Any group or individual that adheres to Islamic doctrine has no rightful place at Canada’s table, zero say in our laws, zero influence in our institutions, and zero tolerance from our leaders. It is long overdue for this matter to be addressed and any and all accommodations cease and desist. Such as the federal government allowing work places to be disrupted by accommodating Ramadan, an Islamic holiday that celebrates the anniversary of the Battle of Badr (AD 624), the brutal conquest of non-Muslims.

It is time for the federal government and every MP to uphold their sworn oath to protect this Christian nation—and stop appeasing those who seek its destruction.

I call on you to:

1. Withdraw the proposal to remove the religious defence clause.
2. Publicly affirm that no Canadian will ever face prosecution for quoting or teaching Scripture in good faith.
3. Reject any amendment that allows Biblical texts to be categorized as unlawful speech.
4. Name the perpetrators behind the rising hate in Canada and deal with them directly instead of targeting and criminalizing Christians.
