Building an Action4Canada Chapter. Role of Leadership.
- The first role of the Chapter Leader is to build a team of core volunteers (Co-Leader, Administrator, Treasurer and Campaign Team Leads) from the local community who can roll out our four main campaigns:
- Protect Kids: eg. Attend School Board meetings. Give delegations on the harms of educational materials/books. Serve Notices of Liability. Engage and Educate elected officials. Form a team to hand out the SOGI/CSE flyers to parents after school.
- Protect Communities: eg. Attend municipal meetings. Give delegations on 15 Minute/SMART Cities. Serve Notices of Liability. Engage and Educate elected officials. Business Campaign, delivering materials and speaking one on one with business owners.
- Support Families: eg. Promote A4C National Youth Events, Parent Webinars, Marriage Seminars.
- Support Churches: eg. Reach out to church leadership and educate them on critical issues and offer support.
- Action4Canada provides weekly training meetings on Mondays to offer ongoing support.
- Action4Canada provides a leader mentorship network.
- Typically, volunteering as leader requires between 5-10 hours/week.
- Each leader receives an A4C email account to engage with the public and with the A4C National Team.
- Chapters host bi-weekly/monthly information sessions for local members and guests, to educate, strategize and mobilize the teams.
- Chapters are encouraged to undertake at least one action per month such as: handing out flyers, delivering church or business information packages, attending municipal/school board meetings, engaging public officials, meeting with pastors and business owners, hosting community events for families and homeschoolers, (ie. BBQ, Potluck), leading prayer walks.
