This is an Urgent 911 Call to Action asking Canadians to contact their Member of Parliament ASAP and demand they oppose Bill C-9 in its entirety. Find ‘your’ MP’s contact info Here and key in your postal code. Call and email them. Flood the phone lines and their inboxes! It is reported that it will be voted on around 3:30pm EST on Wednesday, June 17th.

It is critical that you email as many MP’s as possible to oppose the passing of Bill C-9. There is word that MPs from the Bloc, NDP, Green party and possibly even Liberal MPs will choose to Vote against it. Request that your MP vote NO and remind them that their vote will be recorded and remembered in the next election! Send the letter below to your MP advising them of their duties and limitations according to their sworn oath of office. Pressing in on elected officials is critical to our success.

Thank you to every A4C member and concerned citizen who had responded to our Calls to Action against Bill C-9 over the past months and working tirelessly to stop Bill C-9.

Reminder: Constitutional and moral breach of oath. Members of Parliament swore an oath affirming they would not advise the King to act contrary to his Coronation Oath, which binds him to uphold the principles of the Protestant Christian religion. Yet by advancing Bill C-9, MPs are doing exactly that—advising the King, through the Governor General, to grant Royal Assent to legislation that risks criminalizing the public quotation and teaching of portions of the Christian Bible. In doing so, they are not only undermining fundamental freedoms, but violating the very oaths they swore to uphold.

Re: Bill C-9 – Want of power to aid and advise the King (Governor General) to give Royal Assent

Dear Member of Parliament,

Bill C-9, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime, and access to religious or cultural places), is once again before Parliament. Members of Parliament do not have the power, pursuant to their Oaths and s. 91 of the Constitution Act 1867, to aid and advise the Governor General to break her Oaths to the King, and the King’s Coronation Oath promises to us, by giving Royal Assent to Bill C-9.

The Governor General’s powers and duties prohibit her from giving Royal Assent to Bill C-9 in its present form in compliance with her Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office to King Charles III. Giving Royal Assent to Bill C-9 as it is presently worded, would be a knowing and willful violation of the the Right Honourable Louise Arbour’s sworn Oath, and is likely to result in legal repercussions.

Members of Parliament do not have the Constitutional power to vote in favour of Bill C-9, as doing so would contradict the King’s Coronation Oath to maintain the Protestant Christian religion and protect the rights and liberties of Protestant clergy, and the true profession of the Gospel.

Therefore, when Bill C-9 comes before the House, I instruct you—based on, and in accordance with your sworn Oaths and the Constitution—to vote against it. You are bound by your Oath, not your leader. How you vote will be remembered and you will be held politically accountable at the next election.
