“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace“. Isaiah 9:6
We who anxiously await His return can surely appreciate Christ Jesus as both Wonderful and Counsellor. Our world needs counselling in each individual heart, in every family and in every nation. Then the prophet Isaiah, inspired by GOD seven centuries before Jesus’ birth, penned the phrase “the government shall be upon His shoulder”. What an incredible prophecy, and for us, a reminder of Christ’s omnipotence.
Canada is founded on these principles and as we reflect this Christmas on the birth of Jesus let us fully embrace and live out this truth.
Christmas Service

This is an amazing song that goes beyond the Christmas message of the Christ child born in a manager. It also reveals that Jesus’ death on the cross was a voluntary sacrifice to cover our sins. Through His miraculous resurrection He conquered death and the grave. Because Jesus was sinless and the Son of God, death had no hold on Him. He died for us so that we too would have victory over the grave. Our physical body will one day die but through the gift of salvation we receive everlasting life. To Him be the glory and honour and praise. Amen.
“Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave; where is thy victory?” (1 Cor. 15:54, 55)
