Pastor James Coates was arrested for exercising his “guaranteed” Constitutional right to assemble and the Freedom of Religion. This is a massive attack against the Freedom and Rights of every Canadian.  NO Emergency Order supersedes the Constitution. The Federal Emergency Act Preamble is clear on this matter:

AND WHEREAS the Governor in Council, in taking such special temporary measures, would be subject to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Canadian Bill of Rights and must have regard to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, particularly with respect to those fundamental rights that are not to be limited or abridged even in a national emergency; 

Further, it is a criminal, indictable, offence to interfere with, obstruct or arrest officiating clergyman according to Section 176 (1-3) of the Criminal Code.

Pastor Coates remains in jail because he refuses to agree to the JP’s condition of the release order… “to stop holding church.”

Please forward this message and request everyone who is able to attend this event. In addition, please write to Premier Jason Kenney ([email protected]) demanding he uphold the Constitution, call off the dogs, and release Pastor Coates.
