Join Action4Canada founder Tanya Gaw on this week’s Empower Hour as she welcomes Oklahoma State Senator Shane Jett, an outspoken ally standing with Canadians in defence of our Christian heritage, sovereignty, and freedom.

Canadians are being urged to keep their “elbows up.” But slogans cannot protect a paycheque, keep a business operating, or replace the economic and security partnership built over generations with the United States. Loving Canada means demanding leadership that protects our country’s interests—including a productive working relationship with our most important ally.

The consequences of a fractured relationship are already reaching Canadian businesses and families. A July KPMG survey found that 29 percent of the manufacturers surveyed had moved some or all production to the United States. Respondents cited tariffs, trade uncertainty, lower operating costs, and a more favourable tax environment among their reasons. Canadians need competitive conditions at home and determined diplomacy abroad. Political bravado delivers neither.

Our relationship with America reaches beyond trade. Our nations share a rich Judeo-Christian heritage, deep family connections, and generations of military cooperation that have strengthened our security. Preserving that friendship is an act of responsibility to Canadians.

Yet Carney is deepening Canada’s strategic partnership with Communist China. Canadians should challenge the wisdom of drawing closer to a dictatorship while relations with our democratic neighbour deteriorate. Our prosperity, sovereignty, and security deserve more than an “elbows up” campaign.

Senator Jett offers a timely reminder that Canada has friends in America who care about our country and are willing to speak out. His letter to Canadian parliamentarians challenged Bill C-9 and government interference in the teaching of Scripture. That letter led to a productive meeting with Tanya and collaboration on a second letter directly addressing Prime Minister Carney.

Join us as we discuss what Senator Jett witnessed during his recent visit, why he is standing with Canadians, and why defending our Christian foundations and rebuilding trust with our American neighbours matter to the future of both nations.

Senator Shane Jett’s letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney delivers a direct challenge: honour your oath, defend Canada’s Christian inheritance, and uphold the public trust.

The letter places the Coronation Oath and Canada’s Christian constitutional foundations at the centre of its call for accountability. It challenges the removal of the good-faith defence for Biblical expression through Bill C-9; warns against growing restrictions on speech and assembly; condemns rising hatred against Christians and the Jewish community; and demands action to protect churches and synagogues.

Senator Jett also confronts Carney’s deepening relationship with Communist China, the consequences for our American alliance, and unresolved questions surrounding his financial interests and ethics safeguards.

His message is unequivocal: public office carries solemn obligations, and Canadians are entitled to demand that those obligations be honoured.

Read, print and share the full letter to help educate others and bring its message to fellow Canadians, pastors, and elected representatives. Canada’s Christian inheritance, freedom, and security deserve a determined public defence.

A Judge’s Oath: To God, King and Justice!

To better understand the constitutional commitments raised in Senator Jett’s letter, watch this recent Empower Hour with David Lindsay exploring the oaths and Christian inheritance that underpin our institutions.

Topics covered included: What do judges promise when taking their Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance? How do those commitments connect to the Crown and the Coronation Oath—and what limits the authority exercised from the bench?

David examined these questions through the Christian Biblical principles that shaped Canada’s legal inheritance, explaining why judicial independence must be accompanied by accountability.

This presentation was prompted by concerns about the breakdown of our judiciary and, more specifically, what we believe was an outrageous, predetermined ruling by Justice Weatherill on Sept 24th in Action4Canada’s COVID-19 case against the BC and Federal government. Letting this decision stand unchallenged would mean abandoning our pursuit of justice and accepting the erosion of the judicial safeguards Canadians depend upon. We refuse to do that. Action4Canada is pursuing an appeal because truth and justice must prevail!

Learn more about the power of the Coronation Oath HERE and help bring this vital information into conversations with family, friends, pastors, and public officials. The more Canadians understand these solemn commitments, the better equipped we are to demand that public officials uphold their oaths and answer for their actions.
