On the upcoming Empower Hour, Tanya Gaw will be joined by Ashley Vance, BSN, RN, LAS, Healthcare Team Manager with Heartbeat International, to discuss the life-saving work of Abortion Pill Reversal (APR)—a treatment that has already helped save over 8,000 babies worldwide by giving women a second chance after taking the first abortion pill. Despite ongoing attacks and misinformation from pro-abortion activists, the APR process—providing women with natural progesterone—has a strong safety record and continues to offer hope to women experiencing immediate regret and emotional distress after beginning a chemical abortion.

Ashley will address the stories and dangerous realities of taking the abortion pill that are censored or dismissed by the abortion industry. The voices of women who have experienced physical complications, emotional trauma, grief, and lifelong regret are ignored or silenced. While abortion is continually framed as “safe” and empowering, many women are never fully informed about the risks, the humanity of the child growing within them, or the alternatives available. Ashley will provide truthful, compassionate insight into what many women wish they had known beforehand, while exposing how the culture of death continues to normalize the ending of innocent life under the guise of healthcare and choice.

Adding to this tragedy is the fact that much of this information is actively suppressed or discredited by an abortion industry determined to protect its narrative and profits. The industry is livid that APR is saving lives and is doing everything it can to keep it from the public. Google for instance is  attempting to censor APR in their search engine and Facebook reportedly deletes posts that bring awareness to this miraculous treatment. Action #1: Churches – Become a House of Refuge Today!

Many women facing an unexpected pregnancy, or carrying the pain and regret of a past abortion, suffer silently—often feeling alone, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for help. The House of Refuge ministry is calling on churches across Canada to become places of compassion, truth, healing, and practical support for those facing crisis pregnancies and abortion regret. By becoming a House of Refuge, churches commit to ensuring that mothers, fathers, and unborn children are met with love, prayer, mentorship, and tangible assistance—not shame, silence, or abandonment.

Pastors and church leaders are encouraged to prayerfully consider signing up and equipping their congregations to become a refuge for those in need. Abortion does not only affect women—many men also carry deep grief, emotional wounds, and lifelong regret, in silence. A House of Refuge helps create a culture within the church where God’s grace, healing, and restoration are extended to everyone impacted by abortion, while also helping protect unborn lives through compassionate care and support.

Action #2: Elect Candidates Who Will Defend Life!

We need a Law! Canada is the only western “civilized” nation with NO abortion legislation. Abortion is legal up to FULL term, as well as sex-selective abortions that specifically target baby girls. The Conservatives, Liberals, NDP, Bloc Québécois, and Greens have all refused to enact legislation limiting abortion.

At present, the People’s Party of Canada and the Christian Heritage Party are the only parties willing to introduce abortion legislation, though neither currently holds a seat in the House of Commons. If Canadians want laws that protect life, we must look beyond traditional party lines and actively support principled leaders who are willing to defend the unborn.

Real change begins long before election day. Canadians must identify, support, and help elect principled leaders who are willing to defend the unborn and uphold the sanctity of life. That means volunteering, donating, promoting their message, and helping build their visibility within their communities. Action #3: Be Informed & Educate Others

The third action is to become informed and help educate others. Many Canadians have never been exposed to the realities of abortion, the humanity of the unborn, the dangers of chemical abortion, or the lasting emotional and physical impact abortion can have on both women and men. Truth is too often hidden behind censorship, misinformation, and carefully crafted language.

The destruction of over 100,000 unborn babies every year is contributing to Canada’s declining birth rate and growing social, economic, and sovereignty concerns. Rather than addressing the moral and cultural crisis at its root, governments increasingly rely on mass immigration to sustain the population. Canada urgently needs men and women to once again embrace marriage, children, and family life as a blessing and priority, while defending and preserving our Christian heritage and values.
