On the next Empower Hour, Tanya Gaw welcomes a special guest whose story is both deeply personal and profoundly important. Jocelynn Rodrigues will be joining us to share her experience of having an abortion at the age of 28—and the regret that followed.

Jocelynn’s journey began in high school when she was drawn into the LGBTQ agenda, which led to a prolonged identity crisis and an intense search for truth and belonging. That search took her deep into the New Age movement. Though it promised answers, she found it empty and unfulfilling. Her continued pursuit eventually led her into a genuine, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Once she fully surrendered her life to Him, true healing and restoration began.

It was during this turbulent season of searching that Jocelynn faced her abortion. Like many women, Jocelynn made a decision without being fully informed. She was led to believe that what was growing within her was simply “tissue”—not a developing human life with unique DNA, a beating heart, and an unrepeatable future. No one told her the full reality. No one showed her the life of the child in her womb. And she has often wondered: if she had known—if she had heard the heartbeat—would she have made a different choice?

Tragically, abortion has quietly become another form of birth control in our society. It is often spoken about in abstract terms, reduced to slogans and language that distances us from what is actually taking place. Such as “a woman’s right to choose” and “Reproductive Health”. But behind the language are real lives—fragile, developing human beings—and real consequences that can last a lifetime. This is not just a political issue; it is a moral crisis and a deeply human one that calls us to reflect on what we value, what we protect, and what kind of society we are becoming.

Jocelynn’s testimony invites us to look beyond slogans and consider the reality with honesty and compassion, for both mother and child. Her testimony shines a light on the urgent need for abortion legislation, informed consent laws and stronger protections for mothers and their unborn children. Her voice is a call for compassion, healing, and change.

Canada aborts over 100,000 babies every year while facing a declining birth rate. We don’t need to rely on mass immigration to solve our declining population—what we need is to value and protect every Canadian life, from the womb to the tomb.

WE NEED A LAW!!

Canada is the only western ‘civilized’ nation that has NO abortion legislation. Arbortion is legal up to FULL term and includes Sex Selective Abortions (aborting baby girls).

The Conservative Party, Liberals, NDP, Bloc Quebecois, and Greens have outright refused to create legislation to stop or limit abortion.

At present, the People’s Party of Canada and the Christian Heritage Party are the only parties willing to put forward abortion legislation, though neither currently holds a seat in the House of Commons. With respect, if Canadians hope to see real change, it’s time to think beyond traditional party lines and engage more intentionally in the issues that matter most.

Real and lasting change starts long before election day. If we are serious about protecting the sanctity of life, Canadians must step up now to identify, support, and promote leaders who will defend the unborn and uphold the value of every person.

This means encouraging principled individuals to run for office, backing them with your time and resources, and ensuring they are known and trusted within their communities. Actively help them succeed. Offer your time to knock on doors, make calls, donate, promote their message, and build their visibility so they are well-known and trusted long before elections begin.

If we want laws that protect life, we must elect leaders who are willing to stand up for it. Strong pro-life representation will not happen by accident. It requires deliberate, consistent effort from each of us—starting immediately. When good people run and win, we move closer to a Canada that defends the vulnerable instead of discarding them. Advocacy Is Driving Great Wins!

Watch this powerful episode of the Empower Hour with Tanya Gaw and Kim McBride as they break down Alberta’s major victory with Bill 25—which will remove SOGI, DEI, and CRT from schools—and highlight how persistent grassroots advocacy and evidence-based lobbying are delivering real results across Canada.

They expose how minority activist groups have used victimization narratives to push harmful ideologies, while sharing other encouraging wins and practical resources on issues like official flags only, densification, 15-minute cities, and immigration. Most importantly, they show why your involvement matters, now more than ever.

Your call to action: Join a Chapter or consider becoming a leader, or help elect strong candidates who will defend our rights and values.

Don’t miss this inspiring and practical discussion—real change is possible when Canadians get informed, organized, and mobilized!
