Mark Carney, former financial advisor to Justin Trudeau and ex-Chair of Brookfield Asset Management, has acknowledged providing pro-bono consulting to politicians so that Brookfield shareholders could “have maximum impacts for investors“. Critics argue this raises ethical concerns, particularly given his deep ties to both government and corporate finance.
Under current ethics rules, Carney would have 60 days after being sworn in as Prime Minister (on March 14, 2025) to disclose his assets to the Ethics Commissioner, with another 60 days before that information becomes public—meaning Canadians will not know if Carney’s holdings are a conflict of interest until well after the election. How convenient.
Notably, during his time as Governor of the Bank of England, Carney faced criticism from former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss for contributing to inflation and promoting green spending—paralleling concerns now raised in Canada.
Carney’s focus on green initiatives and net-zero policies aligns with Brookfield’s investment goals and could have significant implications for businesses and the cost of living in Canada.

Climate Change Carney = Wealth Transfer!
Tom Harris, Executive Director of International Climate Science Coalition – Canada, joined Tanya Gaw on this Empower Hour to discuss Mark Carney’s role in helping to orchestrate the greatest wealth transfer and heist, in the history of the world.
Heading into the most import election in Canada’s history, it is essential that Canadians be aware of who they could be voting for. Mark Carney is the centre of much controversy. As is customary for the Liberals, Carney seems to believe that he can use whatever tactics are at his disposal to avoid being transparent, such as not disclosing his financial assets. Conservative ethics critic Michael Barrett reasonably wrote an open letter to Carney and stated that, “Canadians deserve to know that their Prime Minister is making decisions in the national interest and be assured that they are free from any undue corporate influence“.
Referring to Carney as Prime Minister is a stretch. He has ascended to the highest political position in Canada without ever being elected. If he does win he has made his plan clear – to continue to use Climate alarmism as a means to significantly advance his own personal, financial gain.
